This is Coronavirus 411, the latest COVID-19 info and new hotspots… Just the facts… for Friday April 10th, 2020.   Coronavirus task force member, Dr. Fauci, told CNN, that the test to see if someone had been infected and had some level of immunity would be available “within a week or so”. The Trump Administration would like to open much of the country by May 1st, reports The Washington Post. Health experts and economists raise concerns of a resurgence if the country is re-opened too quickly. In the U.S. more than 16,000 have already died due to the virus. Sunday is predicted to be the day with our highest fatality rate, according to a model from The University of Washington. Two more aircraft carriers are reporting COVID-19 on board. Those are in addition to the USS Theodore Roosevelt, where more than 400 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed. Pennsylvania had nearly 2,000 new cases yesterday, their largest single day jump. New Jersey’s peak could hit in the next 2 to 3 days, according to their commissioner of health. Sixteen states have closed school for the rest of the academic year.  There are more than 1.6 million cases globally as the death toll nears 100,000. EU finance ministers have agreed to a $590 billion rescue package. Italy will extend their lockdown through May 3rd. France reports 50 cases of COVID-19 onboard the aircraft carrier, Charles De Gaulle. Russia reported more than 1700 new cases Friday, their highest daily number. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is out of Intensive Care. He remains in the hospital and is said to be in “good spirits”.     See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
