Experts say they will need to have at least 14 consecutive days with no new local infections to consider the outbreak over, reports The New York Times. Two U.S. Congressman, have tested positive for the virus. Representative Diaz-Balart of Florida and Utah’s McAdams. In California, 3 more counties and the city of Fresno have issued a “shelter in place order” this effects nearly 1 in 4 Californian’s. The “Families First Coronavirus Response Act” which provides free testing and paid emergency leave, has been signed in to law. President Trump will invoke the Defense Production Act to provide needed medical supplies to fight the virus. U.S. Navy hospital ships will prepare to deploy to New York City, to provide additional hospital beds. The Department of Health a Human Services will permit doctors and medical professionals to practice across state lines. Italy recorded 475 deaths yesterday, its largest one day total. The lockdown measures that have been in place for Italians since the 9th will be extended. London has closed 40 tube stations and cut down bus service as they remind residents to avoid all non-essential travel, according to The Washington Post.
