Seema (सीमा) a short story by Gulzar
Written by Gulzar, Seema is a poignant and touching tale about love and longing, and has appeared in many of his short story collections. “Seema” revolves around three individuals, theatre director Sudhir, his actor wife Seema, and their mutual friend TK. Seema’s and Sudhir’s life appears picture perfect, but appearances are often deceptive in the world of showbiz. The story was eventually made into the movie Libaas in 1988. Incidentally the movie was never widely released and has only had two public screenings, one in 1992 and the other in 2014 in the 23rd and 45th International Film Festival of India.
