Steve Keen

Steve Keen is an Australian-born, British-based economist and author. He looks at the world economy with a different set of metrics that include private debt levels, unlike the mainstream economists (who apparently are all idiots). He is not an optimist on the current state of the global financial economy. In the episode we cover why he thinks the Aussie property market is the biggest bubble in the history of bubbles and why the next financial crisis is going to be bigger than 2008. It isn't all doom and gloom however, Steve points out a few ways to protect yourself (hint: get out of debt!) and solutions the governments can adopt.   Enjoying the show?
