EP 013 – The Insidious Secondary Gain

When an unconscious bad habit keeps working in our favor, something tells us not to change it. It could be keeping on the weight to not attract people’s attention, or smoking to get the attention of someone you like. What keeps you doing this is your secondary gain, a hidden reason that makes your unconscious mind think that it’s actually GOOD to hold on to your bad habit. It persists because oftentimes, your needs are met by that behavior. Learn how to identify these secondary gains and find ways to meet those needs in non-toxic ways.
