1901, ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ 1.5 ಲಕ್ಷದ ನಗರಿ, ಇವತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನಲ್ಲೂ ಬೆಳದಿದೆ. ನಗರದ ಹೊರವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ರೂಪಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯ ಹಳ್ಳಿಗಳು, ಇದ್ದಂತಹ ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಣ್ಣ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಇವುಗಳ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಲು ನಮ್ಮ ಈ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ ಉಡುಪ ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ.

The city of Bengaluru has grown from a population of a little over 1.6 lakh people in 1901 to more than 10 million today. The city has grown by adding planned layouts and unplanned settlements over the years, and engulfing old villages along the way. Thejaswi Udupa joins Ganesh Chakravarthi and Pavan Srinath with stories from the last century of Bengaluru's growth.
