Policing While Black
Policing While Black
STRAIGHT FIRE!!!. The only way to describe this episode.
Art and Vince sit down with Mac, a long time law enforcement officer turned Atlanta attorney. We get his perspective on everything from how he feels about the relationship between black folks and police all the way to the advice he, as a LEO (Law Enforcement Officer) gives to his own children, as well his thoughts on the solution.
Mac makes sense out of why more officers don't cross the blue wall of silence to speak out regarding what's happening to black lives at the hands of cops and also sheds a little light on our responsibility in the matter.
Educate, Advocate, and Engage is Macs 3 pronged approach to overcoming the task at hand
We also hear a Langston Hughes piece about black folks and police that was written in 1946 but sounds like it was written yesterday
