Is Timing Everything?

When someone ends a relationship, it feels like a part of us died. It feels like it becomes a struggle to live normally, without them in the picture. Take, for instance, what one of my listeners is going through because of a recent break up with her boyfriend. She is lost and feels as though she could not go on with all the pain and longing she has for her ex, the dilemmas of either moving on or holding on until he comes back.   As Brooke Castillo categorized heartbreak, life is 50% negative, 50% positive. You have to endure the pain. You have to cry and wallow. Then, you have to move through that, you let your thoughts out, talk to someone, do some yoga, meditate, or break open your journal, and download your thoughts. Be resourceful, search for a coach who can help you heal, or find self-help books, and look for podcasts that you can relate to. Feel your pain, heal, grow, and be in love with yourself. Be the healthiest you, who can manage your brain, so that you can be in a situation to date and fall in love with your ideal person, someone who is there no matter what happens, who's not afraid to sail the seas of uncertainties with you. You choose your timing. It's not about waiting for the other person to heal, or thinking if you're better off without him. It's about showing up and loving yourself and creating feelings that drive actions that yield results. You do it not because of that someone, but you're doing it for yourself.  Topics in this episode Unhealthy thoughts yielded unsatisfactory results  Be resourceful for your self-healing (hire a coach, find podcasts you can relate to)  Why waiting and holding on can be a disservice to yourself Defining an ideal partnership  How to shift circumstances so that they serve you  How is break up currently serving you?  How are you showing up for yourself?  Resources Why is it taking me so long to get over him?: https://clairetheheartbreakcoach.com/podcast/2019/3/18/why-is-it-taking-me-so-long-to-get-over-him Heartbreak Q’s during the Covid pandemic part 1: https://clairetheheartbreakcoach.com/podcast/2020/3/30/heartbreak-qs-during-the-covid-pandemic Stacey Boehman: https://staceyboehman.com/ Brooke Castillo: https://thelifecoachschool.com/ Jen Sincero: https://jensincero.com/ Julia Cameron: https://juliacameronlive.com/ I don’t get it podcast: https://idontgetit.libsyn.com/ep163-heartbreak-remedies Work With Claire https://clairetheheartbreakcoach.com/work-with-me   Editing and show notes by Roth Media
