Sue Tilley
Better known as Big Sue – model for Lucian Freud, friend and biographer of Leigh Bowery and doyenne of London’s nightclub scene in the 1980s – Sue Tilley was there and has the stories to match.Today she is a successful artist living quietly on the south coast of England, but she stopped by 5 Carlos Place in London to talk to host Danielle Radojcin about a new exhibition of her work, as well as to re-live some of the stories of her extraordinary life, including what it was like to sit for one of Britain’s greatest artists, how she survived cancer, and why she’s always cared more about experiences than money.
