Scot Maitland with the IACP Podcast interviews - Loren Madden Kirk Speaker of the House, APhA Loren is a student pharmacist at the East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. As a Raleigh, NC, he grew up as any suburban child would: with a horse, well-practiced light-saber moves, and no knowledge of what hair products could do for curly hair. Loren has competitively ridden horses since he was 7, regard Star Wars: Return of the Jedi as his favorite movie, and thanks his grandmother for his curly hair. Loren graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in animal science. His first role was as a veterinary pharmacy technician. Loren then transitioned to compounding pharmacy, where he had a keen interest in pharmaceutics, then to quality control and management. Loren is looking forward to working with other pharmacists to expand the advocacy tools available, broadening interprofessional champion network, and preparing to be healthcare advocates.  See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
