Mr. Baltas has held the position of CEO for four years and has held director level positions in healthcare and insurance for the past 20 years. As a twenty-year veteran of the health care industry, Mr. Baltas has worked with clients such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia in HMO development, Kentucky Medical Insurance Corporation in assessing strategic relationships, and created partnerships with Bluegrass Family Health to provide administration to their self-funded clients. In addition to this, Mr. Baltas is an expert in both fully and partially self-funded health plans, has built medical and optometric networks, and is a key negotiator with stop-loss reinsurers and pharmacy benefit companies. An advocate of re-establishing “consumerism” in the health care model, Mr. Baltas has worked for multiple years to; 1) lower costs, 2) improve outcomes, 3) educate participants as to their role, and 4) offer leading-edge health care delivery models that can be enacted today.
