After discovering Bitcoin in 2011, Mark Basa co-founded and designed an omni-currency payment gateway, enabling consumers to pay with fiat, loyalty points, and Bitcoin in a single transaction, which resulted in a partnership with Microsoft and the Australian government through their joint-venture innovation programs for promising technologies.

As an early crypto-evangelist, Mark specializes in strategic development and brand conceptualization for early-stage crypto companies and has been featured on and quoted in Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Reuters, Yahoo Finance, Express.co.uk, and many more. Mark is the Director of HOKK Finance, a cross-chain, DeFi ecosystem, the co-founder of Murasaki B.V: a game studio backed by Japan’s largest VC, and the current Managing Director of the crypto division at XWECAN, a global PR and communications agency. Mark has also worked as a Brand Director of a layer-one blockchain.
