Tonight’s guest is Jugnoo Kazmi, a lawyer who has been working for litigation set in Islamabad and briefly as a Legal Consultant in-house. She joined the Supreme Court of Pakistan as a Law Clerk to an Honourable Judge. At present, she is working for Justice Project Pakistan which fights for the rights of vulnerable prisoners facing the harshest punishments. She has also been appointed as state counsel and defense counsel on state expense in jail appeals by an Honourable Judge of the Islamabad High Court. She leads the Women in Law Initiative’s Islamabad chapter which works towards ensuring fair representation and equality of opportunity for female lawyers in the legal profession. We have discussed the importance of working hard, her experiences while studying abroad, being independent, the problems faced by female lawyers, law as a profession, working with the government, women's rights, Pakistan’s justice system and What is “Women In Law Islamabad Chapter”?
