When we talk about racism we normally believe that it is an active act of discrimination based on prejudice done by a bad person (that we can then shame on social media and cancel, thus absolving anyone of being racist).  Discrimination based on prejudice is different than racism.  Racism is social structure (like capitalism, for example) that defines, organizes and dictates acceptable behavior through shared social norms and beliefs.
