This week, Michelle Yeoh dives back in to American films with a story steeped in Japanese culture... or at least, the filmmakers would have you believe that. We're talking MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA today, winner of three Oscars but a film that was heavily criticized for its inaccuracies regarding Japan, starting with the fact that its three lead actresses are... not Japanese. But is there still enough that works in this handsomely-produced period film to recommend it?
