We often THINK we're clear in our communication, but are we? More times than not I find we use extra words or assume someone understands what we're talking about. We talk jargon. That's quite common when you have worked in an organization for a long time. All of these things impact on your team members ability to understand and follow through for you. Consider how clear your communication really is.
