E2: Deconstructing Cravings
Marnie and Stephanie dive deep into the topic of cravings and explain how cravings are the body's way of communicating with us. Primary causes of cravings: Dehydration, Nutrient Deficiency, Relationships, Stress, Boredom, Foods from Childhood, Hormonal, Seasonal, Body Imbalance. Challenge for the week: Every time you find a craving coming your way, stop to ask yourself these questions: • Are you dehydrated? • Are you nutrient deficient? • Are you bored, tired, stressed? • Is this a habit? If so, jot down notes in a journal and see if you notice any patterns. Before you give into cravings, have a glass of water, take a few deep belly breaths or go for a walk outside and then decide if you are still actually hungry.
