Today I'm going to read you some news in Russian and afterwards I'll explain the vocabulary words! It's a longer podcast, but I hope you'll enjoy it!

Российские власти обсудили внедрение электронных паспортов — впервые эта идея поднималась ещё в 2013 году. Теперь переход на такие документы запланирован на 2021 год, а соответствующий законопроект должен быть создан до конца этого года. По данным источников, такой паспорт будет похож на банковскую карту с чипом и позволит получать государственные и коммерческие услуги. Он объединит в себе паспорт, СНИЛС и водительские права и будет хранить слепок лица для распознавания, отпечатки пальцев, электронную подпись и код доступа к цифровому профилю владельца.
