4 Elements Of A Successful Online Nutrition Business

Having all or some of your nutrition business running online has never been more important! Whether yours is already running on the internet or you’re thinking about starting one, this episode is about the 4 elements of online business you need to know. 4 Elements Of A Successful Online Nutrition Business When you’re ready to get your business online, there are four key elements that you need to put your energy in to have the success you want. Because if your business isn’t successful, however, you define that, you just have an expensive hobby! Every single business has to solve a problem. For a nutrition business, the problem you’re solving is in health, regardless of how you’re solving that problem. So how do you tell people what problem you’re solving? By sending traffic to your business.  Traffic is the people who find your business online (or if you have a brick and mortar establishment, the people who walk past your shop). By using social media and your website, you’re creating part of the sales process! You can also get traffic through word-of-mouth, that’s past clients recommending you - one of the most valuable methods of getting new business! When your traffic lands on where you want them to be, you need to give them something in order to make them a lead. A lead is someone who has either picked up your free or low-cost offer. You can now engage your leads with direct response marketing and with a sales plan that turns your leads into clients. Now you need to have a sales process in place to actually turn those leads into paying clients. There are so many ways to make a sale to your potential customers, but my favorite and the one I recommend for nutrition businesses that are starting out is the discovery call. Yes, these are sales calls, but before you make the sale, you need to determine if your services are a good fit for this lead. When you’re first starting out with your online nutrition business, I believe you should offer one-to-one coaching. But, I will also say that your business will hit a limit with how much income you can receive from this method. If you’re okay with hitting that income limit, that’s perfectly okay, but if you’re ready for more… You will find that some people can’t afford your services, and that’s okay, but there’s only so much you can raise your prices before you literally price yourself out of the market. This is where offering products, along with your services, comes in beneficial as well as starting group coaching programs. Group coaching lets you work with multiple people at the same time, but you definitely need to be confident in your coaching methods to have true success here. You don’t need tons of traffic, millions of viewers on your website, or thousands of followers on social media to get good traffic, you just need a clear message and clear value from what you’re sharing and an ability to build your know-like-trust factor with that traffic.” (19:07) “If you want to have a successful business you have to have an effective conversion strategy.” (27:32) “Most of the time, what you teach in an online program is going to come from something you’ve learned from working with people one on one.” (39:59)   Links Sign up for James Wedmore's Business By Design video series!
