Moana Ofahengaue shares his heartbreaking journey of overcoming addiction
Moana Ofahengaue joins Casey Scott and Dr. Matt Woolley to talk about taking his first shot at 9-years-old, how idolizing the mafia and gangs influenced Moana to create an alter-ego that chased a partying lifestyle, and balancing his wild lifestyle with finding success on the football field.
Then Moana opens up about being offered scholorships to play college football but struggling to give up alcohol, as well as the accident that almost cost him everything.
Moana then talks about what his physical recovery looked like following his accident, how he handled the loss of his identity has a successful football prospect, and his descent into addiction to meth due to the emotional trauma of losing football.
Lastly, we dive into Moana's experiences with being in and out of recovery centers and what he's doing now for the recovery community now that he's find sobriety.
