How to Proactively Protect Yourself from Covid 19 with Dr. Paul Anderson

I wanted have a conversation with clear and safe guidelines on ways to support your IMMUNE  system during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is never going to be a 'one size fits all" fix, but there is a lot you can do to be proactive in protecting yourself and your health. This conversation is a streamlined look at things out there you can take that potentially boost your system from a Holistic or Naturopathic approach. The show had a window to sit with Dr. Paul Anderson, a Naturopathic physician out of Seattle, Washington. Lucky for me, my husband Laird Hamilton and dear friend Elijah Allan Blitz guest-hosted since I wasn't available.  A friendly reminder that all of this information is helpful but you still need to keep your stress in check (I know easier said than done), stay hydrated, and GET SOME SLEEP.  Being locked in the house can give you a lot of energy but sleep is still going to be king at defending your health. The audio quality may be less than ideal since in order to conduct the conversation it had to be recorded on Skype. Sending wishes of love and power to you and your families. Enjoy. Dr. Anderson is medical director of Advanced Medical Therapies in Seattle, Washington, a clinic focusing on the care of patients with cancer and chronic diseases.  He is a recognized educator and clinician in the area of the Orthomolecular use of nutritional therapies (oral and intravenous) in infectious, chronic and oncologic illness. In addition to three decades clinical experience he also was head of the interventional arm of a US-NIH funded human research trial using IV Vitamin C and other therapies in cancer patients.     Dr.  Andersons Recommendations: Nutrient doses I personally am taking short term for immune health – disclaimer I am not anyone’s physician and they should seek a qualified practitioner before taking anything: Vitamin C to “bowel tolerance” for me that is 2,000 – 3,000 mg 3x a day each meal N-acetyl-cysteine (NAC) 500 to 1000 mg 3x a day each meal Vitamin A as fat soluble (a retinoid not a carotenoid) 25,000 IU once daily Vitamin D 15,000 IU daily The Ayurvedic herb ‘Neem’ 300 mg twice a day with food Zinc Bisglycinate 50 mg once a day while eating   Other things mentioned: Heat kills ‘cold’ virus (related to our sauna and immunity discussion) this is 113 degrees F https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC89212/ Proper sleep and immunity https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4568388/ Breathing, exercise and immunity https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5808692/   Produced by Dear Media.
