HT0818 - Lens Sharpness It's consistent that my analog prints are not as sharp as my digital ones. I've always attributed that to the fact that an analog enlargement passes the image through two lenses — the one on the camera and the one used by the enlarger. Twice the opportunity for problems to creep into the process. But recently I've been thinking I might have overlooked an even more influential aspect of modern lenses that accounts for their superior sharpness.
