Obesity in the United States is a major health concern. 75% of the population is overweight or obese. The management of obesity is of keen interest, and there is disagreement as to how obesity should be addressed and managed. The complications of obesity include coronary artery disease, diabetes, fatty liver and cirrhosis, an increased risk of cancer, stroke, heart attack, and an increase in disability.
