Faasle Aise Bhi Honge - Adeem Hashmi

Born in Firozpur, India, on 1st August 1946, Adeem Hashmi’s actual name was Faizuddin. He was brought up in Faizabad and moved to Lahore in 1970, where his poems were regularly published in literary journals. Meanwhile, he also wrote songs for radio and TV. Later, he moved to Rawalpindi. In 2001, he relocated to America accompanying his friend and distinguished poet Iftikhar Nasim. He had long-standing heart disease and underwent a bypass operation. He passed away in Chicago on 3rd November 2001. Some notable books authored by him include ‘Tarkash’, ‘Mukalima’, ‘Chehra Tumhara Yaad Rahta Hai’, ‘Fasle Aise Bhi Honge’, and ‘Bahut Nazdik Aate Jaa Rahe Ho’.
