Since taking the helm at Pratt a Whitney from outgoing Bob Leduc at the turn of the year, the company’s new president Chris Calio has been steering the engine maker through a sea of challenges. Ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic to implementing upgrades to the PW1100 geared turbofan, all this has happened as PaW completed its mega merger with Raytheon—a transaction which officially closed in early April.
