Rahat Indori
Rahat Indori is a well-renowned Urdu shayar and lyricist. He was born in 1950 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and passed away on 11th August 2020. When he was just 10 years old due to financial difficulties he took the job of a “sign painter” He worked hard and completed his MA in Urdu literature from Bhopal and then went on to complete his doctorate(PhD) from Bhuj University of Madhya Pradesh. He had a phenomenal journey from being a painter to a professor. He was extremely popular in mushairas and was treated like a rock star. He never shied away from holding a mirror to governments or people in power.
