Parveen Shakir - Urdu Adab Ki Khushbu

Parveen Shakir (24 November 1952 – 26 December 1994) was a Pakistani poet, teacher and a civil servant of the Government of Pakistan.  She is best known for her poems, which brought a distinctive feminine voice to Urdu literature, and for her consistent use of the rare grammatical feminine gender for the word "lover". She passed away too soon in a traffic accident at the age of 42.  As a poet Parveen in a very subtle manner gave voice to the feelings of women about men. She never shied away from exploring social issues and taboos such as gender inequality, discrimination and prostitution. Source: Wikipedia.
