With Translucent bagged and boxed in zinc, Butcher follows up on a lead from him and brings in another former colleague, Mother’s Milk, to run surveillance on A-Train’s girlfriend Popclaw. As Butcher is denied access to the CIA’s Mallory Files, Frenchie has an epiphany that involves C4 and a tight end orifice. But Homelander arrives to investigate Frenchie’s van and, as they cause an explosion to distract Homelander, another explosion rips through Translucent's colon; as Hughie detonates the C4 he most certainly does not keep his hands, arms, face, legs and torso clean, as he is covered by the bloody remnants of the formerly translucent man! As all is caught on camera, Butcher uses this opportunity to blackmail Popclaw as an informant.
