Ep 98. How to leave Corporate America and start a global brand with Jakiya Brown Thiaw of Travelingfro
We had the opportunity to speak with our brand Jakiya Brown Thiaw, founder of The Travelingfro in this episode. Jakiya helped us with The Goal Standard brand, and we love sharing people we know who are amazing at what they do. We talked to Jakiya about her incredible story, from growing up in North Carolina, to moving to NYC for her dream job at one of the biggest beauty brands in the world. Even at the points where most stories end, (dream job in the big city), Jakiya’s was just beginning. After getting bit by the traveling bug, Jakiya took every opportunity she could to see the world until she realized she wanted to travel full time. She put a plan into place, packed her stuff, and went off on an adventure, slowly but surely creating a brand that would help her finance her adventures. Now, Jakiya has settled on the content and focuses on helping struggling millennials turn their passion into a dream job and transition into a life of doing more of what they love. In other words, Jakiya is a brand wiz that helps millennial entrepreneurs get clear and focused on their brand. We know because she did an incredible job at helping us at The Goal Standard get our whole life together So if you’re trying to figure out if you should make the job into a new career path, or if you want tips on how to strengthen your personal or business brand, this episode is for you.
