Updating Your Home For Sale a Choosing Finishes
On the show today, I want to talk about doing updates to your home and choosing finishes. When you’re updating the home for the purpose of selling, instead of doing full remodels, think about doing the middle of the road upgrades. I often joke that staging is a bit like botox for the house, and when you tear down walls and do big remodels, that’s the nose job. For getting the home ready, consider doing face lifts type of projects, meaning that you’re not moving any structures and can be done in a much shorter time frame. Stuff like changing out your hardware to current ones, painting, changing out sink, toilets, countertops, etc. These are cost effective updates without the risk of serious delays to your marketing timelines or turning into really expensive and costly projects.
