In 2014, in the aftermath of the Nirbhaya case the government banned the cruel practice of the two-finger test in which doctors and nurses would examine a rape survivor's vagina for elasticity, using the findings to comment on their past sexual experience. But a Truth vs Hype investigation has found the pervasive use of the two-finger tests by medical examiners even in states which have adapted the new laws.
