Realtors everywhere are taking to Facebook and Twitter to profess their outrage and newly found hatred for Gary Vee ever since a short 60 sec video clip was posted the other day. In it, Gary Vee says that buying a home is stupid, that it ties up upfront capital, and it just a bad idea that he wishes he had never done. In the largest Facebook Groups for real estate agents, you can practically hear the collective panties bunching. Apparently, according to the most vocal real estate agents, it's ALWAYS wise to buy a home versus rent. But is that true? Is Gary Vee right? Is buying a home no longer a wise investment? Should our clients always be advised to buy rather than rent?This week, we're going to have an honest, adult conversation about homeownership.
