Oni and youkai and ninja. Oh my! We lead off this Chompcast by talking about Nioh, Team Ninja’s newest IP that beautifully blends Ninja Gaiden and Dark Souls. We also give “live” updates of Fish gambling for new characters in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius as his life spirals out of control around him. Josh discusses his initial thoughts with Gravity Rush 2, while Shea conveys his first opinions on Fire Emblem: Fates Birthright. Inspired by Nioh, we have a smaller discussion regarding a few famous Team Ninja IPs, and debate what we’d like to see them do next.
