7,622 Cr INR released to States by the Central Government under The Samagra Shiksha Scheme
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that Rs 7,622 crore has been released to states and Union Territories (UT) so far in 2021-22 under the Samagra Shiksha Yojana to continue its various initiatives in the field of education.An amount of Rs 7622 crore has been released to states and Union Territories so far in 2021-22 under the Samagra Shiksha Yojana for continuation of various initiatives like free textbooks, uniforms, kgbvs, teaching, vocational education, ICT and digital education," the Education Minister tweeted.This money will be used for free textbooks, uniforms, teachers' salaries and in-service training, teaching, vocational education, ICT and digital initiatives, etc.," he said, noting that the project evaluation, budget, achievements and data handling system (PRABANDH) launched last year has facilitated remote approval of schemes submitted by states.He added, "It has facilitated states to upload schemes that anyone can view from a remote area or their location and share their plans. It was not possible to do so in physical mode." State that the PRABANDH system is designed to upload annual work plans, budgets and other data online.Edtech giant Byjus has become India’s most valued company after raising about 340 million dollars.
