Class in Session: Paper Shows Gender Gap in College Esports Still Large

Men and women can compete together at the highest level of esports but leagues are still male dominated. Some have hoped college esports could go a long way to reducing the gap. In a new paper published in the journal Critical Studies in Media Communication, a PHD student and an assosciate professor found that colleges are trending towards being an extension of disenfranchisement, not reducing it.
