India’s stifled soul found its voice when a brave soldier rose against the British army. From Mangal Pandey to Rani Lakshmi Bai, from Subhash Chandra Bose to Mahatma Gandhi, thousands of brave men and women fought valiantly against the atrocities of the British Raj. While many selflessly gave their lives to protect our motherland, others embraced terrible hardships. The freedom we enjoy today is the fruit of their united struggle.
