Love in Indian Mythology - Sri Krishna & Radha
Whose love was greater? Rukmini's or Radha's? The question, that immediately takes our mind to the age-old debate between a wife's love and a lover's love. Love of a kind that one is conditioned into, expected to be in by others in societal structure vs one that comes spontaneously, solely by the connection made by the almighty. The conflict actually is at a deeper level, it reveals the most relevant question in the path of devotion, who is a greater devotee? the one who is conditioned into it or the spontaneous one? The one who goes to Temples and follows all rituals or the one who considers love or devotion for God to be the ultimate worship. Narada once had all these questions in mind and the supreme lord wanted him to find out the answer through the following stories.
