While I knew it would be terrible, I was hoping that it wouldn't simply be bad and boring but at least terrible in a way that was interesting. The world the characters live in is revealed to be a computer simulation created by the town's leader Frank where contemporary men kidnap women and insert them into the simulation as their wives, leaving the women's physical selves entirely in the care of the men who have kidnapped them while they exist in the simulation unaware of what is actually happening.
