Carbs are not bad. They have unnecessarily got a bad name. Stop assuming them as Gulshan Grover or Amrish Puri. They are like Prem of Maine Pyaar Kiya. Once the protein intake is set, then the remaining calories can be adjusted from fats or carbs, depending upon your adherence. You tend to hold 3gms of water per gram of carb intake. So if you feel you can do better at low carbs, go ahead. If you feel you can do better at moderate carbs, that’s fine too. It’s like a tailor-made stitch. Every size is different from one another. Don’t panic when you see the weight going up, after introducing carbs, that’s fine. You will only gain fats if you eat more than your maintenance calories. Plan smartly, that’s what is needed. A properly balanced structure.
