Episode 16 - Lost a lot of weight? Is there a lot of sagging skin around?

During the time when you are putting on pounds, the skin expands itself to make room for the muscles and fats to accommodate in. Now what happens is, indulging in excessive cardiovascular activity, burns the muscles beneath the skin and makes the skin sag. ⁣⁣There are two main components of the skin. Namely: Collagen and Elastin. These two are responsible for the elasticity of the skin. ⁣⁣Collagen and elastin fibers fail to retract back because of the lost elasticity, resulting in the skin being loose. ⁣⁣Execution:⁣=========⁣⁣• What has happened has happened. Don't stress. Take action.⁣• If you are a smoker, give it up immediately. Because smoking causes more damage to the skin fibers responsible for elasticity. ⁣• Weight training is your friend for life.⁣• Focus on compound lifts (SQUATS, DEADLIFTS, CHEST PRESS, and OVERHEAD PRESS) and divide your macronutrients properly. ⁣• The goal should be to gain mass and strength. ⁣• Be patient. Allow the skin to retract on its own.⁣
