वाल्मीकि रामायण के राम क्र० १०५ विजयादशमी उत्सव रावण का दाह संस्कार और विभीषण का राज्याभिषेक
वैर रहयो तब तक, जब तक तन में जान।मरन बाद रावण भयो, राम भाई समान। Episode 105 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the events that happened immediately after the death of Raavan. Vibheeshan, who had played an active role in the war, suddenly started crying after seeing his brother Raavan’s dead body. Ram consoled him and asked him to apply his mind to the future course of action. Vibheeshan sought Ram’s permission to carry out the last rites of Raavan. Ram told Vibheeshan that his animosity towards Raavan was only till Raavan was alive and Vibheeshan should carry out cremation and last rites of Raavan. All the wives including Mandodree reached the place where Raavan’s dead body was lying. The women started wailing and crying. Each of them was remembering Raavan in her own way and was shedding tears. Ram asked Vibheeshan to console them. After consoling the women, Vibheeshan turned to Ram and said that considering the crooked man Raavan was, he did not want to carry out the last rites of Raavan. Ram convinced Vibheeshan that Vibheeshan should carry out the last rites for Raavan. Vibheeshan took the help of his maternal grandfather Maalywaan and carried out the creamation and other last rites. Ram asked Sugreev and other warriors of Vaanar Sena to go with Vibheeshan and carry out Vibheeshan’s coronation as king of Lanka. After the coronation, Ram asked Hanuman to enter Lanka with the permission of Vibheeshan and meet Seeta. Ram asked Hanuman to convey to Seeta the news of Ram’s victory over Raavan and come back with any message that Seeta may have for Ram. (Ref.
