Episode 87 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the situation at the battlefield where Ram and Lakshman were lying unconscious on the ground in dust and a bed of arrows. With great effort Ram opened his eyes and looked around. When Ram saw Lakshman lying on the ground he fell into despair. Ram’s sorrow knew no bounds. Ram instructed Sugreev to return to Kishkindha with his army. Ram announced his intention to follow his brother and go to the other world. Sugreev did not want to give up so soon. He instructed his father-in-law Sushen to take Ram and Lakshman to Kishkindha with a band of warriors. Sushen advised that two special medicines – Sanjeevkarnee and Vishalya – be brought to cure Ram and Lakshman. While this discussion was going on, Garud landed there. As soon as Garun landed all the snakes who had gripped Ram and Lakshman ran away. Garud touched the two brothers and made them completely healthy. All their wounds were cured and they had become wiser, stronger and sharper. (Ref.
