Episode 63 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla describes the journey of Veer Hanuman to Lanka. As Hanuman begins his jump across the ocean, devtas, rishis and such other divine persons praise his big effort. The sea also sees the grand effort being made by Hanuman and wishes to help him by offering a place to rest and relax. The sea orders mountain Mainak to rise up and provide a resting place to Hanuman. Mainak rises up but Hanuman sees the mountain as an obstacle and breaks its peak. Mainak gets into human form and prays to Hanuman to be a guest and take a break. Hanuman thanks Mainak for the hospitality but refuses to stop. As Hanuman proceeds further, devatas wish to test Hanuman. The devatas convince Naagmata Sursa to stand in the way of Hanuman. Sursa takes the form of a raakshsee and tries to stop Hanuman. But Hanuman is too smart for her. She blesses Hanuman. As Hanuman moves further, he meets a raakshsee named Sinhika who grabs Hanuman’s shadow and tries to kill him. Hanuman kills her and moves ahead. After reaching Lanka, Hanuman reduces his size to avoid getting noticed. But, the devi who guards Lanka sees him and tries to stop him unsuccessfully. Eventually, she permits him to enter Lanka. (Ref.
