Episode 53 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with Sugreev having concerns about Ram’s capabilities to kill Vaalee. Sugreev tells Ram about Vaalee’s strengths and capabilities. Sugreev also narrates an incidence that highlights Vaalee’s high level of strengths. The incidence involves Vaalee killing Dudumbhi, a demon who used to have the form of a giant he-buffalo. Vaalee had defeated Dudumbhi in an open fight with his bare hands. After killing the demon, Vaalee had thrown the dead body miles away with his hands. Splash of blood from the dead body had infuriated Rishi Matang who cursed Vaalee and stopped him from entering the region around Rishi’s ashram. Sugreev gives two tests to Ram to ensure that Ram is indeed capable of killing Vaalee. Ram clears both tests with flying colours. Convinced of Ram’s strength and capability, Sugreev agrees to go and challenge Vaalee for a fight. (Ref.
