वाल्मीकि रामायण के राम क्र० ४८ राम लक्ष्मण का शबरी से मिलन और सप्तसागर तीर्थ में स्नान

Episode 48 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with an introduction of Shabree who is often portrayed as a stupid devotee of Ram who fed him wild half-eaten fruits. According to Valmikiy Ramayan, Shabree was a learned women sage who was waiting for Ram and Lakshman on the orders of her gurus. Shabree waited for about thirteen years. Shabree’s commitment to the path of dharm is indeed a glorious example of a women’s righteousness. On the request of Ram, Shabree showed the brothers Matang Van, the forest where Shabree’s ashram was located. Shabree also showed them Sapt Sagar Teerth where water from seven oceans had come. Ram and Laxman took bath in Sapt Sagar Teerth. Shabree stepped into fire after meeting Ram and Lakshamn and moved to the other world shedding her physical body. Ram and Lakshamn moved to the other side of Pampa Sarovar to meet Sugreev. This episode marks the end of Aranya Kand, the most terrible period of Ram’s life.  (Ref.
