वाल्मीकि रामायण के राम क्र० १३ राज्याभिषेक का उत्साह और राम का वनगमन का संकल्प
Episode 13 of the conversations between Yogita Pant and Anil Chawla starts with describing the enthusiasm in Ayodhya regarding coronation of Ram. The city was crowded with large number of kings and visitors who had come to attend the coronation ceremony. Ram receives the message from Maharaj Dashrath and Kaikeyee calling him. He is surprised, but goes anyway. As he moves out of his palace to go to Maharaj’s palace, Laxman accompanies him. A large crowd including various horses, elephants and chariots starts moving with the royal chariot celebrating the occasion. At Maharaj’s palace, Ram meets Maharaj and Queen Kaikeyee. Maharaj is a broken man. He is unable to speak. He only utters Ram’s name and keeps crying. Kaikeyee informs Ram about the promise made to him in the past by Maharaj. Kaikeyee informs Ram about her two demands – coronation of Bharat and Ram to live in forest for fourteen years. Ram tells her that he is prepared to go to forest and live there for fourteen years. Ram is neither disturbed nor sad at the sudden development. He moves out of the room promising to depart the same day. Laxman is extremely angry but keeps silent even though his eyes are full of tears. (Ref.
