Desire

Things that we love, desire, no matter how much passion we feel for them, they become ephemeral. Whether it’s rain, cool breeze, time spent with friends and loved ones, they all seem to come and go. And yet we desire them every minute of our lives. We spend all the time to possess those jewels. You get rich one moment, the next moment all your jewels are fake. And you wonder, what is it that you really own. Do you even own yourself? These doubts can sometimes question the need of passion. Why do we even desire? The answer lies in our journey of life. This poem is just about that.
