Itihash Chorit Episode 06 - The Mound of Pandu RajaThe first evidence of the Copper Age urban civilization in Bengal was found on the banks of the river Ajay in West Barddhaman district of present-day West Bengal, known as the Mound of Pandu Raja. According to archaeological records, urban civilization at the Mound of Pandu Raja began about 5,000 years ago by the end of the Neolithic age. This civilization existed till the end of the Mauryan era.
