With a diverse background in Interior & Product Design, Shonali Mahajan of @studiowodehouse has seamlessly meshed together international standards of design with the prowess of Indian craftsmanship. We at @colabcloud had the pleasure of catching up with her as she looks back on her journey that's embellished with experiences, experiments & the intrigue to keep evolving at a personal level. She recounts having tried her hands each summer at different spheres at age 16 to broaden her horizons - a common thread being creativity all along. After acquiring her Master's Degree in Interior Design from the acclaimed Domus Academy, Milan she was able to visualise design as a multifaceted & layered industry that she could associate with in a plethora of ways. She's had the oppurtunity to learn under design stalwarts in the country & abroad, which finally culminated in her founding @studiowodehouse . The studio was her platform to experiment, engage & do as her heart prompted! From being the only woman on site in Doha for months to taking the design landscape by storm with her acute eye for detail, Shonali has also spearheaded a children's space-design centric company called @thelittle.nugget that is yet another passion project of hers. From designing luxury second homes to swoon-worthy children's spaces & taking her virtual consultation services online in these times - she does it all & with such grace!
